How to Choose
Choose a garment around the pet who will wear it. Shape, coat, movement, and tolerance for clothing matter more than a breed name or a photo.
1. Record three measurements
With your pet standing comfortably, use a flexible tape to measure the fullest chest circumference, the neck where the garment neckline sits, and the back from the base of the neck toward the tail. Do not tighten the tape to make a smaller measurement. Record the units with each number.
2. Compare proportions
Long-bodied dogs may need different length coverage than dogs with a fuller chest. A dense coat can change how a neckline sits. Cats can be particularly sensitive to restricted shoulder movement. Do not assume two pets of the same weight need the same garment.
3. Choose the silhouette
A sleeveless vest keeps the visual focus on a simple torso shape. A tee adds a short sleeve, a collared shirt creates a more dressed-up look, and a pullover offers a continuous crewneck silhouette. Hooded styles should be worn with the hood away from eyes and ears. Choose for comfort rather than expecting a particular performance from the appearance.
4. Ask before ordering if fit information is unclear
Send the product name and your pet’s measurements to service@cloverrindle.com. Request product-specific dimensions or fit guidance before purchasing if they are not listed. We do not use invented size tables, universal one-size claims, or breed-only guarantees.
5. Introduce the garment gently
Let your pet investigate it, then attempt only a brief supervised try-on. Do not force limbs or pull the neckline against resistance. Observe ordinary walking, sitting, stretching, and toileting. Remove the garment immediately if your pet freezes, struggles, pants unusually, chews the garment, or shows distress.
6. Keep the experience appropriate
Clothing is optional. Do not use it as a restraint, safety harness, medical garment, or weather-protection guarantee. Remove garments for unsupervised rest, rough play, and situations where overheating or snagging is possible. Follow veterinary advice for an animal with a health concern.
