Garment Care

A considered wardrobe deserves considered care. The correct cleaning method depends on the garment, so always start with its supplied label and instructions.

Before the first wear

Check the garment for loose elements, damaged seams, or an unexpected sharp edge. Remove packaging and any tags that could catch during wear. Let your pet investigate the garment, and do not use it if damaged or unsuitable for their movement.

After a wearing session

Remove the garment gently and inspect the neckline, openings, and hem. Look for stretched areas or anything your pet has chewed. Keep garments clean and discontinue use when a damaged part could detach or catch.

Before cleaning

Read the care label. Do not assume a knit-looking surface can be machine washed, tumble dried, bleached, or ironed. If instructions are missing or unclear, contact us with the product name before choosing a wash temperature or cleaning method.

Drying and storage

Follow the garment’s stated drying guidance and avoid unconfirmed heat settings. Store only when fully dry in a clean place away from damp, direct heat, and your pet’s reach. Do not leave a garment on an animal to dry.

Keep pet safety in mind

Clothes should not interfere with breathing, walking, eating, or toileting. Remove them when the animal shows distress or becomes too warm. Clothing is not a chew toy and should not be used as a restraint or medical treatment.

When a fit changes

Recheck fit as your pet grows, changes coat, or changes body condition. Stop using a piece that has become tight or restrictive. For a fit question, send measurements to customer service rather than relying on the label from an older garment.
